All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--OKC OK Douglass, Kirk Edward Kirk Edward Douglass, age 48, of Edmond passed away on Feb. 26, 2003. He was born Oct. 26, 1954 in Wichita, KS, to Frank and Marcia (Potter) Douglass. After graduation from John Marshall High School in 1973 he attended OSU for five years, earning a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and most of his Master's in Public Administration. Early in his career he worked as the Assistant City Manager in Blackwell and as an analyst for the OKC Water Dept. He also worked many years in the business forms industry. However, he found his true calling as a teacher and coach. He ultimately taught history and social studies and coached soccer and cross-country at Classen School of Advanced Studies for nine years. These were the happiest years of his working life. Kirk and Beth had two sons, Kelly and Matthew. Matthew died shortly after birth. He is survived by his wife of 29 yrs., Beth of Edmond, son Kelly of Norman, parents Frank and Opal Douglass of Tulsa, siblings, Tom Douglass of Edmond, Jana Moore of Stillwater, Mark McMillan of Broken Arrow, Mike McMillan of Phoenix and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kirk will always be remembered by his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003 at the Southern Hills Christian Church, 3207 S. Boulevard, Edmond. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
