All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Dozier, James Robert "Bob" James Robert "Bob" Dozier was welcomed into heaven by his Lord on January 3, 2003. He was born on May 3, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to James M. and Lois V. Dozier, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a Methodist. Dozier graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City in 1958. He married Marti Pulley on September 29, 1957 in Oklahoma City. He was an accomplished musician and artist specializing in brass sculptures, two of which are on display at the Oklahoma Firefighter's Museum. He had worked for the Del Monte Corporation and had been recognized for his many accomplishments during his tenure with the company, including the Distinguished Salesman Award in 1970. Most recently, Dozier had worked in the food brokerage industry. In 1993, he was voted Oklahoma Salesman of the Year by his peers in the confectionery industry. He retired in July, 2002. Dozier had also been a home builder in Lubbock, Texas. He served the West Texas Home Builders Association in many capacities, including President of the Association. Survivors include his wife, Marti, of Oklahoma City; son and daughter-in law, Jim and Autumn Dozier of Flower Mound, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kellye and Mike Hefner of Lubbock, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steve Garrett of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kim Montgomery of Manchester, Missouri; Justin Hefner and Jordan Hefner, both of Lubbock, Texas; Nicholas Dozier of Lewisville, Texas and Ryan and Tyler Dozier of Flower Mound, Texas as well as his in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2003 at 10:00 am at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2925 NW 66th Street, Oklahoma City, with Pastor Judy Bradford officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock, Texas. The family requests memorials be made to the BEB Research Foundation, P.O.
