All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Bakersfield Californian 1 May 2004 ELOISE MAY DEEDS May 14, 1921 - April 29, 2004 Eloise May Deeds was born in Oklahoma City, May 14, 1921, and migrated to California in 1947 with her husband, Jess Floyd Kirk. Here they raised their two sons and four daughters. Eloise worked many jobs throughout her life which included everything from working in the fields and riveting during WW II, to being head cashier at Sears, and later retired from Sears as one of their top sales people. Her most appreciated quality was her acceptance and generosity towards others. She never turned anyone away that needed a meal or a place to sleep and if you needed a helping hand she was always there. Eloise went to join her Lord on April 29, 2004. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Jerry Roger Kirk; her daughters, Penny Church, Vicki Sherman, Patti Kirk and Debbie Kirk; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
