Daniel, 82, went home to be with his Lord after a courageous twenty- three year battle with several kinds of cancer, the last one being lung and colon. He fought so bravely through each one, never complaining, showing so much courage, strength and determination to win each battle. As a young man he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and worked in many areas of the country. Following that he joined the Army and was a very proud WWII veteran, having served with the Army Signal Corps, and took part in the Normandy 'D' day invasion. In the last several years he served as Treasurer, Vice-President and currently President of the local chapter of the CCC, Will Rogers #10, an organization he put his whole heart into. His biggest accomplishment in life though was being a wonderful husband, father and PaPa. He cherished his grandchildren and spent so much time reading to and teaching them to love life and all of God's living things. He loved fishing and was an avid gardener when physically able, having a particular love for flowers. He never complained or said a bad word to anyone, and was the most considerate and loving person on this earth. He will most definitely be missed by anyone who knew and spent time with him. He was a member of Britton Baptist Church, but had been unable to attend services for a long time due to his illness. He missed that very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, his daughter, Debbie Cutchall and husband Jim, his grandchildren, Jamie and Kimberly, a sister, Alice of Vista, CA, and a brother, Paul and wife Pat of Fox, AR. e was 'the wind beneath our wings', making us all better people for knowing him. We were so lucky to have him in our lives for 82 years, and are so happy that he is in total peace now in his final home. His family would like to suggest that memorial donations be made in his name to the cancer center of your choice. We also would like to thank Dr. Clarence Robison, Dr. Farouk Kanaa and staff, especially Renee, and Mercy Hospice for their loving care of daddy through his many illnesses. Visitation will be Wed. from 12:00-8:00 pm, with services being held on Thurs., Sept. 19th, 10:00 a.m. at Demuth Funeral Home. DEMUTH FUNERAL HOME 1145 W.
