City, passed away Fri., May 16, 1997. Born Jan. 9, 1890 in Shreveport, La., Lillian and her family walked to Oklahoma before it became a state. She was a retired registered nurse and had also owned and operated a boardinghouse in Seminole. Throughout her life, Lillian experienced many trials and tribulations. When asked what attributed to her longevity, she stated, "strength, courage, and faith in God are essential." She also believed in tending to her own business and helping others. She strongly believed that people need to return to understanding God and nature. Lillian was truly an inspiration to us all. Survived by 4 granddaughters Nancy Lou Mann, Shirley Ruth, Roberta Rakes and Linda Lowery; 2 grandsons, Daniel Silvers and Pete Mann; numerous great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Mon., May 19, Bill Eisenhour S.E.
