Dempsey, J.T.

J.T. Dempsey, age 71, of Dallas, TX, went to be with the Lord on 
Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Baylor Medical Center. He was born October 
23, 1930, at Rayford, West Virginia, a son of the late Frank Lester 
Dempsey and Artie Bell Williams Dempsey. He served in the U.S. Marine 
Corp, was a Methodist, and was retired from Sooner Rubber Company of 

Oklahoma. He married Patsy Ruth Neal Dempsey, on July 6, 1952, at 
Hermitage, Arkansas, and she died December 30, 1992. They were married 
for 40 years. Mr. Dempsey touched everyone's life that had the privilege 
to know him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 
Surviving is his wife, Carol Uselton Dempsey; 1 son, Lynn Dempsey, 
Oklahoma City, OK; 1 daughter, Pam Schramm, OKC, OK; 1 brother, Lloyd 
Chapman, Palm Bay, FL; 4 grandchildren. Funeral services 11:00 a.m., 
Saturday, August 3, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Neal Cemetery near 
Hermitage by Frazer's Funeral Home. Memorial services 2:00 p.m., Monday, 
August 5, at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas. In lieu 
of flowers, memorial preferred to the American Cancer Society.
