Dennis, Dorothy Louise

Dorothy Louise passed from this life into the arms of the Lord on August 
26, 2002. Dorothy was born November 8, 1920, in Madill, OK to Jessie 
'Patt' and Avis Murphy. She was married to Samuel Dennis on June 24, 1942, 
and they resided in OKC where they owned and operated Sam's Donut Shops 
for over 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, her doll collection and 
adored her many grandbabies. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother of 
eight children. Dorothy was an active member of Putnam City United 
Methodist Church before moving to the Fairview Fellowship Home in 
September 2001. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; 
daughter, Katrina and grandson, Tyger. She is survived by two sons, 
Michael Dennis of OKC and Stephen Dennis of Yukon, OK; daugher, LaBeth 
Myers and husband Gary of OKC; daughter, Sammie Dennis of OKC; daughter, 
Penny Klein and husband George of OKC; daughter Patricia Joiner and 
husband Jack of Weatherford, OK; daughter Deborah Medrano of OKC and 
sister Kathleen Hales of OKC. Dorothy, our beloved 'Granny,' also leaves 
behind 49 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great 
grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services will be 
held at Putnam City United methodist Church on Friday, August 30th at 2 
p.m. with burial following in Chapel Hill Cemetery. A special thanks to 
the staff at Fairview Fellowship Home for their loving care. In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the surgery fund for her 
grandson, Bradley Stephens c/o First Baptist Church, Attn: Bradley 
Stephens Medical Fund, 405 East Broadway, Fairview, OK 73737.
