All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 14 Nov 2002 Valerie Sue Darling Valerie Sue Darling, 49, of Comanche died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Comanche with the Rev. Gary Smith and Dow Pannell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Mrs. Darling was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Bethany, to Amy and Robert Miller. She was a 1971 graduate of Healdton High School and attended the University of Oklahoma for two years. She married Mike Darling on Sept. 29, 1973, in Healdton. The Darlings made their home in Tulsa for three years. In 1976, they moved to Comanche. Mrs. Darling was employed by Wal-Mart from 1995 until 1999. She enjoyed visiting and making friends both locally and worldwide. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Jason Darling of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Cassondra Darling of Everett, Wash.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Mindy of Richmond, Texas, and Matthew and Debbie of Sweeney, Texas; a sister, Brenda Karns of Johnson City, Tenn.; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard. Memorial contributions may be made to Duncan Public Library, Attn: Jacquie, 815 W.
