All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ladonna Jeane Dreyer Ladonna Jeane Dreyer of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Howard Batson of First Baptist Church and Dr. Gene Byrd, vice-president of Amarillo College, officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum North. Mrs. Dreyer was born in Hutchinson, Kan. In 1979, she resigned her professorship in Oklahoma City and returned to Amarillo where she was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Dreyer was a teacher and was published by the Educational Research Institute of Chicago. She also authored a textbook. She was a life member of NEA, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Delta Pi. She married Robert H. Dreyer in 1969 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Tracy Lee Campbell of Oklahoma City; a stepson, Michael Dreyer of Midland; two sisters, DeEtta Depew of Missouri and Glennis Smith of Florida; and a brother, Dennis Chase, of Louisiana. The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo College Foundation or a favorite charity.
