All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Memorial Gardens--OKC OK Deckert, Chester Forrest (Chet) Chester (Chet) Forrest, 87, of Oklahoma City, born November 9, 1915 to William B. and Elizabeth C. (Ginther) in Russell, Kansas, died May 5, 2003 in Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William B., Jr., and Dean E. Chet. Married Idora F. Williams who preceded him in death after 47 years of marriage. Survivors are daughter Judy O'Neal, Plano, Texas; grandsons Ty, Frisco, Tx. and Tate, Plano, Tx, sister, Lana Copper, Oklahoma City and Wayland O'Neal, Plano, Tx. Chet proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp during WWII. In 1947 he became associated with Sohio Petroleum in Oklahoma City. Under the GI Bill he received a degree in geology at Oklahoma City University graduating magna cum laude. Upon retiring from Sohio which is now part of British Petroleum, he continued consulting with Woods Petroleum and Freemont Petroleum. According to daughter Judy O'Neal, 3109 Prestonwood Drive, Plano, Tx. 75093. Memorial services will be Friday, May 23 at 1:00pm at Hahn- Cook Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with final interment at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Cancer Research.
