All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Doughty, Lucille June DOUGHTY, LUCILLE June 13, 1923 to Feb. 17, 2007 Lucille Doughty was born June 13, 1923 to Thomas Burnett and Ethel Burnett in Turtlen, Oklahoma. Lucille was the 9th of 10 children. Preceded in death are her brothers and sisters Burt Burnett, Freda Head, Virgie Chambers, Irene Little, Leonard Burnett, Hazel Martin, Clyde Burnett, Doris Burnett and Harold Burnett. Lucille graduated in Jennys, OK in 1941 of a class of 11. In 1942 she married Samuel Doughty. Lucille and her mother came to S.D. in 1943. She worked for Gibbs Produce on University Ave., then Safeway until after the war. She and Sam returned to OK. Lucille worked for Safeway in OK City until 1950 when she returned to S.D. She then worked for Safeway, in 1952 she went to work in Linda Vista and worked until she retired in 1973. Lucille was active with UFCW Local 135 Retirees Club, City Beautiful of S.D., S.D. Service Center for the Blind, Kearny Mesa Democrats Club and a Deacon for her church. Survived by nieces Judy Summers who was her longtime caregiver, and Phyllis Caltagirone, numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her. Viewing Thursday, February 22nd from 4 to 8 p.m. and services Friday, February 23rd at 10 a.m. both at El Camino Memorial with reception at Linda Vista Presbyterian Church.
