All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 1 Mar 2005 Mark Steven Edmondson Mark Steven Edmondson of Oklahoma City died after a short illness at Deaconess Hospital Feb. 24, 2005. He was born Nov. 22, 1959, in Durant, the son of Rick and June (Stone) Edmondson. Mark received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and speech in 1982 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he was on the President's Honor Roll and was named to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate with honors in 1986 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and named to the Order of the Coif. He began is legal career at Crowe and Dunlevy where he was an associate in the Oklahoma City office from 1986 to 1992 and a director in the Tulsa office from 1993 to 1995. He subsequently worked for the Tulsa firm of Stuart, Biolchini, Turner & Givray, the Oklahoma Department of Securities, Steven A. Zrenda Jr., P.C. and most recently the firm of Miller Dollarhide. He is survived by his beloved companion Gerri Stuckey, his nephews Kyle and Kendal Edmondson and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anne Pittman, his brother Rickie Edmondson and his sister-in-law Ellen Edmondson. Memorial services will be Tuesday at Mayflower Congregational UCC Church, Oklahoma City, located at 3901 NW 63rd Street, at 1 p.m., and his ashes will be spread in Ireland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial gifts to the NPR station KGOU- KROU at the University of Oklahoma.
