All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== ::Barnes & Johnson FH--Midwest City OK Ellsworth, Galen Richard Galen Richard, 69, of Midwest City died peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2005. He was born on October 31,1935 to Charles and Della (Dobbins) Ellsworth in Toledo Ohio. He graduated from M.R. Waite High School in Toledo and attended Bowling Green State University at Bowling Green, Ohio. While in high school, Galen began his 32-year career with the Bell System (Ohio Bell); he transferred to Southwestern Bell in 1979 and retired in 1987 as a manager in Network Services. He then worked for Sprint and Century Telephone Companies and permanently retired in 1996. Galen was an active and faithful member of True Vine Ministries. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart and shared the love of God with everyone he met. Galen was an accomplished musician and played the double bass violin and electric bass. After retirement, he devoted his time giving violin, cello and bass lessons to many young people and playing for the church. He was a member of the Oklahoma Community Orchestra until health permitted. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane; children: Timothy Ellsworth, Pataskala, OH; Pamela LeCher, Fuquay-Varina, NC; Kimberly Wysocki, Pataskala, OH; Christopher Ellsworth, The Plains, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter, and twin sister, Gail Cothran, Ellenton, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of Galen's life will be held at True Vine Ministries at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20.
