All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ewing, Evelyn Lucille Bolton Evelyn Lucille Bolton Ewing, age 85 died on Monday, November 25, 2002 in an Oklahoma City hospital after a short illness. She was born July 24, 1917 at Jenks, Oklahoma to William Luther and Martha A. Cates Bolton. She grew up in Jenks and was a 1934 graduate of Jenks High School. She was a graduate of Central State College with a B.S. degree in English and Home Economics, and later did graduate work at OU and Okla. A & M. She was a pioneer teacher in the Mustang School and retired from Mooreland Schools in 1976 after many years of service to education in Oklahoma. She was instrumental in establishing benefit programs through the State of Oklahoma for teachers. She was a Methodist and a former member of the OEA and NEA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Vernon. She is survived by two daughters Martha Nan Ewing-Henley and Mary Marie Ewing both of Mustang, one sister Mary Lou Bolton Pitts of Tulsa, three grandchildren Tina, Michelle and Michael and three great grandchildren Matthew, Daniel and Cole. Services will be held at 2PM on Friday, November 29, 2002 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service with interment following in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
