Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in New Covenant Methodist Church in Edmond, Okla., with the Rev. Adrian Cole officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home of Enid, Okla. Mrs. Fowlkes was born to Gerald H. and Betty (Herring) Orr on Dec. 8, 1938, in Fort Collins, Colo. "Judee" Graduated from high school in Powell, Wyo., and then later attended University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. She married Dale Fowlkes on Oct. 19, 1956, in Denver. They made their home in Amarillo, where she worked for Texas Highway Department. In 1972, they moved to Oklahoma and she became the data security manager for Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She was active with Edmond Elks Ladies Klub, Camp 124 activities of Sons of the Confederate Veterans in Tyler and Chapter 261 of the Military Order of Stars and Bars in Tyler. An avid Civil War buff, she belonged to Museum of the Confederacy, Blue and Gray Education Society, Civil War Preservation Trust and Friends of the Carter House Museum. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cynthia G. Jones of Edmond and Dr. Alicia J. Vanhooser of Enid; five grandchildren; a brother, Gary Orr of Yuma, Ariz.; and two sisters, Roberta Skovgard of Canadian Lakes, Mich., and Terri Christensen of Casper, Wyo. The family suggests memorials be to National Mesothelioma Fund, 1515 Holcombe St., Box 445, Houston, TX 77030.
