All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Flynn Jr., William Joseph William Joseph Flynn, Jr., 81, died February 6, 2003 in Oklahoma City. Bill was born January 7, 1922, to William Joseph and Anna Marion Bradley Flynn. He attended John Carroll School, OSU and OU, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps for three years in the South Pacific. He retired from Honeywell, Inc. after 35 years, serving as a Branch Manager in Oklahoma and Texas. He was past President of the American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers. Bill was a loving father and grandfather. He was active in the Catholic Church, the Lions Club and was an avid golfer, having left more than a few golf balls in the ponds at Cedar Valley golf course. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Edith D. Flynn; Darleen Wolf, mother of his loving sons and daughters: Steve Flynn and wife, Angela, Houston; Carol Holleyman and husband, Bob, Oklahoma City; Gary Flynn and wife, Lydia, Yukon; William M. Flynn, Broken Arrow and Meg Young and husband, Paul, Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy, Erin, Michael, Paden, Maddie, Steve, Bryan and Kristy and great-grandchildren, Brock and Drew; stepsons, Bill and wife, Tracy; David and wife Nicki; Eric and wife Anita; stepdaughter, Sarah and husband, Dean and step grandchildren, Adam, Molly, Carlee, Dylan, David, Mark, Chris, Ross and Carson. He is also survived by brother, Pat Flynn and wife, Mary and sister, Margaret Eckroat and husband, Art all of Oklahoma City. Memorial gifts may be made to the Oklahoma Research Foundation for Alzheimer's Research. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Smith and Kernke Chapel, 1401 N.W. 23rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 7801 N.W. Expressway with interment to follow.
