Fleming (Mama Helen), age 85, longtime Edmond resident, was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Navina, OK, to Floyd Thomas and Jessie Viola Robinson. Helen graduated from Navina High School in 1934. Later graduating from Nursing School - Okla. City Vocational Practical in May of 1957. Helen married Harry Lloyd Fleming, on June 1, 1934. Helen was a nurse at Edmond Hospital serving well over 28 years of nursing care. She was a very faithful and active member of Cathedral of the Hill Assembly of God Church in Edmond. Helen passed away on Sept. 16, 2002, in Edmond, OK. Her survivors include grandsons, Mark Allen Gidney of Edmond, Kevin Ray Gidney of Wichita, Kansas; great granddaughter, Angela Dawn Gidney of Wichita, Kansas; great grandsons, Brett Allen Gidney of Chandler, OK, Jason Ray Gidney of Edmond, Calvin James Gidney of Edmond, Mathew Don Gidney of Chandler, OK; sister, Pauline Jorgenson of Edmond; nephew, Kenneth Jorgenson of Kingfisher, OK; niece, Beverly Smith of Ft. Worth, Texas; 7 great nephews and nieces. Services are 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Cathedral of the Hill Assembly of God Church with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cathedral of the Hill Church. Services under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home. Matthews Funeral Home Locally Owned 601 S.
