Ferguson, died Sunday evening, Sept. 22, 2002, at the age of 94. She was born to George Ferguson and Martha Jane Maxwell Ferguson in Turtle Creek, PA, on March 11, 1908. At the age of 6, she moved with her family to Oklahoma City. Mrs. Bard attended Oklahoma City University and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, in 1930 and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City and a former treasurer for Eastern Star, Chapter 10. Mrs. Bard retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mrs. Annetta Dunn and Mrs. Margery Rhodes; a brother, Hugh Ferguson; her husband, Asher Humphrey Bard, and a niece, Alice Voelkers. Her survivors include three stepchildren Mrs. Martha Meyer of Lakewood, Colo., and husband Harvey; Richard A. Bard of Miami, Fla., and wife Karen; and David Bard of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by nephew Wm. A. Dunn wife Eileen; nephew Carroll E. Dunn and wife Kathryn; nephew David Voelkers; niece Mrs. Iris Guild and husband David; niece Mrs. Margery Ruth Bash, and numerous other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church, 14500 N. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73013 or a favorite charity. Services to be held at Guardian North Chapel at 10:00 AM Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Garriott officiating. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N.
