All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Frank, Myrel Fannie Myrel Fannie Frank, age 103, born October 14, 1899, lived in three centuries, died January 16, 2003. Myrel was born to George & Myrta McCune in Norman, Oklahoma. The family moved to Oklahoma City and Myrel graduated from Oklahoma High School in 1918. Myrel and Howard B. Frank were married in 1920. They moved to Yukon in 1935. Together they worked in H.B. Frank Variety Stores throughout Oklahoma, the Variety Wholesale in OKC and Twilite Bowl in Yukon. Howard died in 1988 at the age of 90. Myrel enjoyed her church work at Yukon's First Christian Church in roles of leadership in CWF & teaching Sunday school for many years. She had a sparkle in her eyes and a keen sense of humor. Myrel was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her three brothers and one sister, son-in-law Cliff Barrett and granddaughter, Carol. She leaves one son, H.B. Frank Jr. & wife, Lavern of Byron, GA; three daughters, Betty Barrett, Joan Barrett & husband, Dorman of OKC and Mary Kay Niles and husband Jim of Yukon, and 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. The family is most grateful for Myrel's loving caregivers over the past 8 years, Olivia Vickers, Edna Angeles and family and her dear friend Phil Showalter, her postal carrier. Memorial services will be held celebrating her life will be Monday, January 20, 2003 at the First Christian church of Yukon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or church celebrating Myrel's 103 years of life. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. SMITH-TURNER 201 E.
