Gibbens, Dorothy Louise (Dottie)

Dorothy Louise (Dottie) Gibbens passed away after a courageous battle 
with cancer on February 18, 2003. She was born January 29, 1935 in 
Wewoka, OK to Edythe and Thomas R. Seay. She is survived by her 
husband James C. (Jim) Gibbens; daughters Cynthia Louise Steels and 
Elizabeth Anne White; grandchildren Wesley Ray Montgomery, Nathaniel 
Corbin Johns, Sarah Christine Steels, Gregory James Allen Steels, and 
Michael Joseph Steels; step-grandchildren Benjamin Thomas Clark and 
Samuel Edward Clark, Owen Malcolm Ziols, and Eli Beckwith Ziols. She 
was manager of the corporate computer section of the Fleming Company 
and was an associate with Prudential Real Estate. She was a member of 
St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral and Oklahoma Historical Society. Her 
main interest was family, but was also interested in the outdoors, 
lakes, animals, plants, the Gulf of Mexico, skiing, tennis, 
computers, and genealogy. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, 
February 21, 2003 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral. Gifts in lieu of 
flowers may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral and Mercy 
Hospice of Oklahoma City.
