All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Geddes, Joseph Henry "Joe" Joseph Henry 'Joe' Geddes, 94, was born July 20, 1908, in Mount. Vernon, Ohio and died September 23, 2002, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joe came to Oklahoma in 1945, where he worked for over 25 years at the Oklahoman and Times as a Linotype Operator and Machinist. He married Antoinette 'Toni' Lafata in 1946 and together they built a successful floral business. Later in life his business interests shifted to the recovery of silver from x-ray film and he pursued this career until the age of 90. Survivors include his daughter, Nora Goodrum, Dallas, TX and Patricia Waldroupe, Okla. City, OK; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His most beloved and faithful grandchild is Kelli Embry who sustains this family with her kindness and love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Old Cathedral. An Evening Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 1401 NW 23rd and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2002, at St. Joseph Old Cathedral with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
