Hawley will be held 3/1/2003, at Baggerley's, 930 S. Bdwy. in Edmond. Jim was born on 8/ 21/1919, in NC. One of 11 children he attended NC State before joining the Army Air Corps & USAF during WWII. He served his country as a mechanic, a bombardier, & pilot in both the African and European Theatres. He was a decorated member of the 9th Squadron, 10th Fighter Command. He married his best friend Maxine Helman of Jones, OK in 1945, and lived in Edmond until his death. He was a member of the Plumbers Local 433 and worked as an estimator and foreman until he retired in 1986. He was also a Mason, a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He loved his wife, 2 daughters, Jamie Henry & Karen Hirsch, 3 grandchildren, Katie Henry Lemons, Emilie Henry & Matt Hirsch & 3 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Edmond Iris Society, SSIS, OIS & AIS. An avid gardener, he would share his passion and knowledge with all he met. The memories of his jovial nature and generous spirit will always be cherished. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
