All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Galbraith, Bernice Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Gaibraith, age 87, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2002, in The Chapel of the Resthaven Funeral Home with Reverend Alvin Garrison officiating. Alice Bernice Galbraith was born August 16, 1915, in Waurika, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Hazel (Horton) Lang. She graduated from Alva High School in May of 1933 and was united in marriage to Mr. John Howard Galbraith, on October 22, 1933. Howard and Bernice have resided in the Oklahoma City area since 1948, moving here from Enid, OK. Bernice was a member of the East Minister Presbyterian Church of Del City and was a volunteer 'Pink Lady' for the Midwest City Regional Hospital. Survivors include one son, Larry Galbraith of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Sherry Lam of Midwest City; four grandchildren, Belinda Ruppert, Steve Lam, Tammy Vanderford and Tina Smith; seven great grandchildren, Shannon James, Taylor Vanderford, Joshua Smith, Samantha Smith, Christopher Lauritzen, Melissa Lam and Emily Lam; and one sister, Betty Sims of Amarillo, TX. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Galbraith, on October 18, 1989; two brothers, Melvin Lang and Herb Lang; one sister, Ruth Bosworth and her daughter-in-law, Chloe Galbraith. Burial will conclude in Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Oklahoma City.
