All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Brumfield Cemetery--Seiling OK Eunice Gordon SHATTUCK - Eunice Gordon, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000. A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church in Shattuck with the Rev. Jess Willsie, the Rev. Lenn Murray and the Rev. Melvin Rittenhouse officiating. Graveside services were held Saturday in Brumfield Cemetery in Seiling, Okla., by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Mrs. Gordon was born in Seiling where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1929. She received her teaching degree from Oklahoma College for Women and later received her master's degree in home economics from Oklahoma State University. In 1940, Mrs. Gordon moved from Sayre to Shattuck where she taught home economics at Shattuck High School, retiring in 1975. In 1995, she was awarded an Honorary Membership in the Oklahoma Association of Future Homemakers of America Vocational and Technical Education. She was a member of the Re-Organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an associate member of the United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Eastern Star, National Vocational Teachers Association, the Retired Teachers Association, Federated Women's Club and Delta Kappa Gamma. In 1992, she moved to Oklahoma City. She married Z.V. Gordon in 1938 at Seiling. He died in 1980. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Willsie and Ann Farrar, both of Shattuck; a brother, Eldon Ballinger of Dallas; and two grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to Susanna Wesley Center of Epworth Villa Retirement Center or to the Mission Hospice of Oklahoma City.
