Brown's Funeral Service is handling the arrangements. ========= Durant Daily Democrat 22 Jan 2005 Deborah Gail (Shields) Hubbard, 50 A memorial service for Deborah Gail (Shields) Hubbard, 50, Pottsboro, Texas, who died Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, will be held in the chapel at Brown's Funeral Service in Durant, Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. Bros. Ed Hull and Tim Cook will officiate. Deborah was born September 20, 1954, in Edmond to James A. Shields and Mary Reba (Usrey) Shields. She was raised in Oklahoma and graduated from Durant schools. Deborah lived out on the farm in Clarendon, Texas, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved her family and friends. Deborah was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her sister Yuvonne Krutzler. Survivors include her parents, James and Reba Shields, Durant; faithful companion Ron Herron, Pottsboro; son Don Shields and wife Rhonda, Springtown, Texas; son Wes Shields and wife Monica, Athens, Texas; four grandchildren; brother John Harold Shields and wife Diana, Combine, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Clarendon cemetery near Amarillo. The family requests memorials be made to the High Plains Children's Home near Amarillo in lieu of flowers.
