All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Hays, William Hampton "Bill" William Hampton 'Bill', 84, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2003 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born October 1, 1918 in Hickory, Oklahoma to Oliver Hobart and Anna Elizabeth (Gann) Hays. Bill retired from American Trailers in 1981 after 36 years of employment. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Myrtle Lodge #145, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason of Guthrie. He was a loving and caring man with a great sense of humor who enjoyed his family and church. Bill's pastimes were spent hunting, fishing, and attending rodeos and auctions. Bill is survived by his wife, Jewel of the home; three sons, Dale Hays and wife Cathy of OKC, Melvin Ake and wife Delores of Newcastle, and Fuzzy Ake and wife Janet of Bethel, OK; one brother, Weldon Hays of Kingfisher; two sisters, Juanita Sutton and husband Edd of Ada, OK and Novela Flowers of OKC; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a special daughter, Wanda Carey of OKC; brother-in law, Jack Farmer of Choudrant, LA; and daughter-in-law, Janie Ake of OKC. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, 'Doodle' Girstel Farmer Hays; one daughter, Beth Ake; and one son, Ronnie Ake. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 29, 2003 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
