All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Hayes, Norma London (Minx) Norma (Minx) London Hayes, passed away on March 25, 2003 after a long battle with Parkinson"s Disease. Norma was born in Oklahoma City, on April 2, 1924 to George & Dorothy Minx. She was preceded in death by her parents & brother George Lee Minx, Jr. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Clifton, son Don Hayes and wife Angela, daughters Sondra London Johnson & husband Richard of Mustang. Ginger Hayes Bohlar and husband Terrill of Cleveland, Ohio, brothers Ed Minx of OKC, Jim Minx & wife Ellie of Moore. Norma is survived by 7 grandchildren, Damon Johnson & wife Pamela of OKC, Nicole Johnson of Austin, TX, Terra & Aaron Bohlar of Cleveland, Ohio, Chanel, Chloe, and Cristalle Hayes of OKC several nieces and nephews and a favorite niece Stacy Minx of Moore. Norma graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1942. She worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company during the 40"s & 50"s. Her voice was so clear and precise that she was selected to be the "voice" used in the "first" recorded announcement made by the telephone company. She spent the next several years at home raising her family. When her children were older she worked for her brother Ed, at Southwest Construction News. Norma was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She instilled in her children strong values and the wisdom that "character does matter". She was by the very definition an Angel on Earth and without a doubt has entered Heaven through extra wide gates where there will be a standing ovation and a set of Wings especially made for her small outstanding frame. Services will be Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 2:00 pm at Guardian West Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. GUARDIAN WEST 41 & N.
