Two Killed in Crash on Highway 99
Third reported in Critical Condition in Desert Hospital.

Two men were killed and a third is in critical condition at Desert 
Hospital after a crash on Highway 99 just west of Whitewater early Sunday 
morning.

The California Highway Patrol identified the two fatilities as Charles W 
Hackey, 30, of Los Angles and Albert L Shull, 31, of El Monte.

Undergoing treatment at Desert Hospital for skull fracture and major 
multiple injuries is Harvey E. Alexander, 51, of Lowell, Ariz.

The accident which happened at 12:35 a.m., broth the death total to 106 in 
Riverside County in 1956.

CHP officers said that hackaby was apparently killed instantly and Stull 
was dead on arrival at the hospital. All three men were construction 
workers in Arizona.

Charles Weldon Huckaby Jr. was the son of Charles Weldon Huckaby and Alta 
Louise Hall Huckaby, He is buried in Oklahoma city, Sunnylane Cemetery.
