Hawkins, 82, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Monsignor Francis A. Smyer of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Okla. Mr. Hawkins was born in Oklahoma City and had lived in Amarillo for 52 years. He served with the Navy during World War II. He worked for General Mills for 45 years as a salesman and a salesman supervisor. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He married Mary Janice Damron in 1934 at Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Martha Naples of Amarillo and Darla Masterson of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandsons; and three great- granddaughters. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, P.O.
