All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Obit for Bonnie Marie Hutson Bonnie Marie Hutson Bonnie Marie Hutson, 84, of Amarillo died Monday, April 29, 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Immanuel Baptist Church in Odessa with the Rev. Bill Cook and Mark Riley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens of Odessa. Local arrangements are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Hutson was born in Paradise on Aug. 26, 1917, to Hugh Smith and Eunice Shannon. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1935 and received a degree from the school of cosmetology. She married A.K. Hutson in Amarillo in 1938. They moved to Odessa in February 1943 where she was a resident until moving back to Amarillo in January 2001 to be close to her daughter and first-born son. Our mother had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist. She was a loving and kind person with a beautiful outlook on life. She always took her children to church and was a strong influence in their upbringing. She had a soft voice, always forgiving and loving toward others. She was a gentle and caring mother who stayed at home and was always there for her children. Being a good mother-in-law and grandmother was important to her. Her grandchildren adored and loved her greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Michael Jordan Hutson; a granddaughter, Katty Marie Brown Graham; three brothers, Haywood Shannon, Raymond Shannon and W.B. Shannon; and four sisters, Jessie Grote, Mimi Jones, Ora Huebner and Aileen Shannon. Survivors include a daughter, Patty Pool of Amarillo; a son-in-law, John Pool of Amarillo; four sons, Wayne Hutson of Amarillo, and Kenneth Hutson and wife, Kathryn, Mike Hutson and G.R. Hutson and wife, Carol, all of Odessa; a brother, Ralph Shannon and wife, Charlotte, of Oklahoma City; three sisters-in-law, Cletus Hutson of Odessa, Alene Hutson of Lake Jackson and Elsie Hutson of Nacogdoches; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and with special fondness, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends including Lorene Martz and Charlotte Glenn.
