He was born Dec. 9, 1924 in Pauls Valley, OK. After graduating from Classen High School in 1943, he served as a pilot during WWII, flying cargo planes in the China - Burma - India Theater. He worked for AMOCO Oil Co. after graduating from OCU in 1949. Returning to Ok., he joined OG&E in 1960 as a sales consultant in Enid, Ok. Later, he was transferred to Shawnee, Ok. as sales supervisor and then in 1973, to Oklahoma City as area manager, Western Region. He retired in 1987. He participated in many organizations including Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, OCU fundraising campaigns, Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. He was a member of Grace United Methodist as well as Capitol Rotary Club. He loved golfing and motorhoming. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and three children, Monica Swink, her husband, Harold and daughter, Hope; Cathy Whitson and hers, Roger & David; Chris, his wife, Donna and children, Kenney, Karla & Scott; two brothers, Chris P., Norman, Ok. and Joe M., Okla. City. Memorial gifts may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Service 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 1988, Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel.
