All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunny Lane Cemetery--Del City OK Heitman, Max Lynn Max Lynn Heitman 4/21/1950 - 8/23/2005 Max passed away 8/23/2005 after a year long battle with cancer. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1968. In the summer of 1968 he began his military service with the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the USS Sphynx in Viet Nam and served 2 tours on the Mekong Delta. He was proud to have served in the 'dirt water" Navy. He discharged his military duties while aboard the USS Vulcan. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2005 after 33 years service. He was preceded in death by grandparents Harry and Iva Palmer, John H. and Marie Heitman, his mother Lucille Heitman, his wife Cindy Heitman, and step brother Rick Hardy. He is survived by his father David L. Heitman and wife Betty Jo, mother-in-law Gloria Christensen, his daughter Jennifer Heitman of Austin, TX, step-son Brian Conway and wife Jessica, and grandson David of Leavenworth, KS and his brother John Heitman, step-sister Debra Kay and husband Ron Redus, and step-sister Gena Hardy as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Community Hospice employees. A very special thank you to the Visiting Angels Employees, Teresa Stephens, TerryAnn Moses as well as the Visiting Angels Director Barry Pitcher. Their efforts, kindness, love and 24 hour care allowed Max to pass away peaceably in his home. Long may you ride brother, from your friends and family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, 8/26/2005 in the Barnes & Johnson FH Chapel with burial in Sunnylane Cemetery Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home 1820 S.
