All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 4 Jan 2005 William 'Bill' Hill, 54 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for William "Bill" Hill, 54, Willis Point, Texas, who died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, in Belton, Texas. ========= Durant Daily Democrat 5 Jan 2005 William Elliott 'Duke' Hill, 54 A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mead Cemetery, Mead, for William Elliott "Duke" Hill, 54, Wills Point, Texas, who died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, in Belton, Texas. Rev. Jackie Crafton and Wayne Kirkpatrick will officiate. He was born Thursday, June 8, 1950, in Caddo to Cecil and Emogene (Smith) Hill. He was employed by Van Zant County, Texas, as a correctional officer. He was a beloved brother, the youngest of eight siblings. He was known as "Duke" by his family and many of his longtime friends. Duke's character is a rare and blessed kind. We were fortunate to have him as family and friend. He will be missed. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-brother Charles Mock. He is survived by son Brent Humphries, Wills Point; daughters Lori Ann Hill, Bokchito, and Brandi Jo Foster, Wills Point; brother Cecil "Speck" Hill, Bennington; sisters Doris Jean Mitchell, Kenefic, Lavena Warner, Kingston, Mary Vansickle, Colbert, Pat Hackler, McAlester, June Kirkpatrick, Owasso, and Sharon Philpot, Colbert; step-brothers Johnny Carl Mock, Unger, and Dub Mock, Unger; and step-sister Gloria Mock, Unger. Pallbearers will be Cecil "Speck" Hill, Randall Kuykendall, Brent Kuykendall, Anthony Fulsom, Cory Allen and John Gunner. Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
