Services will be at noon today in First Lutheran Church of Tahlequah with the Rev. Bruce Alberts officiating. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery by Hart Funeral Home. Mrs. Helfer was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Pinch, W.Va. She married Raymond Helfer in 1944 at the Air Force Base in Dalhart, Texas. Survivors include two sons, Steve Helfer of Tahlequah and Randy Helfer of Edmond; two sisters, June Mills of Amarillo, Texas, and Martha Lee Lotspiech of Floydada, Texas; a brother, Bud Meyers of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Foundation, 6465 S. Yale St., Suite 318, Tulsa, OK 74136-7805.
