All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Resthaven Memory Gardens--OKC OK Hamm, Dolores Ann (Townsend) Dolores Ann (Townsend), 71, of OKC, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 23, 2003. She was born April 6, 1931 in Coffeyville, KS to Faye & Loa Townsend. After graduating from Coffeyville High School in 1949, she attended Coffeyville Jr. College, where she earned a degree in Secretarial Science. Dolores attended Phillips Univ. in Enid, OK, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religious Education. On Nov. 28, 1953, she married the love of her life, Del Hamm in Coffeyville, KS. Dolores dedicated her life to serving the Lord with all her heart. She was an exemplary minister's wife. She served as a US Navy Chaplain's wife and associate minister's wife, having served at Central Christian Church in Wichita, KS and Hillcrest Christian Church, for over 30yrs. At Hillcrest Christian Church, she started a children's Preschool Program. She devoted her talents and time to instituting children's programs and teaching Sunday School for children in the Pre-School and Kindergarten classes at the churches she and her husband faithfully served. In her spare time, Dolores enjoyed making and giving arts and crafts to those she loved. Since Del's retirement, they have attended First Christian Church in OKC where she continued her ministry until her death. She is survived by her loving husband, Del of the home; Sons: Kyle Hamm & wife, Brenda of OKC and Terry Hamm of Grand Junction, CO; Daughter, Lee Ann & her fiance, Brad Townsend, both of OKC; Grandsons: Ryan, Allen and Trey; Granddaughter, Taylor Nicole; and Great Grandson, Zachary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church of OKC, Scholarship Fund, 3700 N. Walker, OKC, OK, 73118. Services to celebrate her life will be held 10:30 AM, Wed., Feb. 26, 2003 at the First Christian Church in OKC with interment following at Resthaven Memory Gardens. VONDEL L.
