All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Hamilton, Dr. Robert "Bob" A whistle on his lips and a song in his heart nearly every day of his life, Dr. Robert 'Bob" Hamilton went to meet his Lord August 19, 2005. Born to Robert and Elsie Hamilton in Tulsa, Oklahoma, February 16, 1923. He received his commission in the U.S. Army the day before he married the love of his life Mary Venable July 22, 1943. Bob served as a medic in WWII, including the Battle of the Bulge. As a graduate of Baylor University School of Dentistry Bob practiced in Henryetta, Oklahoma, before moving to south Oklahoma City in 1955, where he retired in 1989. A long-time member of South Lee and later St. Luke's United Methodist churches, Bob held numerous leadership positions and taught Sunday School classes for over 60 years. He was active in Rotary Club for 50 years, and a Paul Harris Rotary Fellow. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Dick Hamilton and mother-in-law Goldie 'Mama" Venable. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters and sons-in-law Robin and Rick Evans of Tulsa and Dianne and Joe Dodson and granddaughter Kathryn Dodson of Bellevue, Washington; grandsons and wives Andy and Jennifer Evans of Dallas and Robert and Andee Evans of Tulsa. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Jim and Barbara Venable, niece and husband Tami and Gary U'Ren and daughter Amy Huddleston, and nephew and wife Bob and Brenda Venable, and daughters Ashley and Tatum. 'He who loves is of God, because God is love." Bob Hamilton was a man of God. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Friends may call for viewing and visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM Monday, August 22, at the funeral home.
