Skip was born in January 1950 and raised in Aliquippa, Pa. He served his country honorably in the US Army. He spoke often of his experiences in Vietnam and took great pride as a Veteran of that war. He moved to Oklahoma in 1993 and married Margaret in November of 1994. He eventually had his own business as roofing contractor working in Texas as well as Oklahoma. In the summer of 2000, he suffered devastating injuries in a motorcycle accident, and will be remembered for his strength, courage and determination in the face of that adversity. He was an interesting, charismatic man who enjoyed engaging strangers in conversation just as much as those close to him. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred John Huwar, and mother, Ann Huwar. Aside from wife Margaret, he is survived by sister Karen Laraway and her husband John with nephews Scott and Stone, brother Mike Huwar and his wife Betty Jo, with nephew Eric, daughter in law Beth Hardwick and husband John, son in law Rick Beavin and wife Tina, and two special grandson's Henry and Costa who he loved dearly. In addition to the family, he had a multitude of friends including Bill W. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, family, friends and will be dearly missed. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N.
