All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens--OKC OK Harris, Constance Elizabeth (Connie Beth) On Monday, January 20, 2003, God called home his loving and faithful servant, Constance Elizabeth (Connie Beth) Harris. She was born September 5, 1931 in Garber, Oklahoma to Robert Bower and Mary Esther Hawkins. Connie Beth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Richard Doyle Harris, her father Robert Bower Hawkins, her mother Esther Hawkins Skally, and her sister Teene Alongi. She is survived by her brother, Robert Byron Hawkins of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by her loving children: Cynthia Kaye Walls and husband Marc; Robert David Harris and wife Kathy, Jeffrey Walter Harris and wife Julie, all of Oklahoma City. Connie is also survived by 4 adoring grandchildren; Elizabeth and Zachary Walls who called her "Granma Connie"; Jefferson and Jacob Harris who called her "Grams"; as well as nieces, nephews, many special friends and admirers. Connie Beth graduated from high school in Kinnewick, Washington, where she grew up as a teenager. In 1953, Connie and Richard began a business together, Coronado Cleaners and Harris Laundry. Upon Richard's death, Connie continued the business working with her son, Robert for the next 22 years. She was a charter member of Village Christian Church for the past 50 years where she touched many generations with her love and kindness. Connie enjoyed being involved with her Sewing Club, Windsor Reviewers Book Club, Keystone Sunday School class, and the Eastern Star. Her family wishes to thank Mercy Home Health and Mercy Hospice for all of their care and compassion. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Village Christian Church, 9401 Ridgeview Drive, OKC with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. She will be deeply missed by her family and all of her "special" friends!
