All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum--OKC OK Harrison, John Burford "Shorty" John "Shorty" Burford Harrison, 99, of Oklahoma City, passed away January 14, 2003. He was born March 23, 1903 in Indian Territory which is now Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Henrietta Wallach Harrison and The Honorable John Buntin Harrison. He attended Emerson Elementary School and then Central High School. Upon graduation, he attended Oklahoma A & M College (OSU) where he became a member Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 34 years before retiring. He was a member of the Petroleum Club and the Telephone Company Pioner Club. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his first wife Maxine Brockman Harrison and second wife Wanda Guthrie Harrison as well as his parents. He is survived by several nephews and nieces and a step- daughter and her children. A memorial service will be held 4 P.M., Sunday, January 19, 2003 at the Hahn- Cook/Street & Draper Chapel. Mr. Harrison will be interred in the Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum, Memorial contributions may be made to Harn Homestead Museum, 313 N.E. 16th Street, OKC, 73104.
