Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Laurence Cathedral with the Rev. Leo Heredia, of the cathedral, and John Hickey, of St. Martin Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Herrera enjoyed sewing, cooking and her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, on Dec. 7, 1999; three infant children; and two brothers, Joe and Pete Martinez. Survivors include six daughters, Lydia Lichtie, Lupe Gominguez, Veda Gonzales, Ana Martinez and Lisa Fajardo, all of Amarillo, and Ophelia Horich of San Antonio; three sons, Edward and Robert Herrera, both of Amarillo, and Joe Herrera of Oklahoma City; 37 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver, Alex Hernandez of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
