All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Walnut Cemetery--Walnut KS Hays, Jewell Everett Jewell Everett Hays (JE) was born, in Hepler Kansas, the sixth child of eight children to John and Jocindia (Harden) Hays, on November 30th, 1918, of which sister Norma Gene and brother Earnest Wayne still survive. JE and Imogene (Mitchell) were married on January 4th, 1941 in Cherryville Kansas, born to this union were Kelly (deceased), Barbara and Michael. Together, JE (always the tease) and Imogene have enjoyed four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and a world of good friends. JE's work career took him from farmer, to welder and shipbuilder, to aircraft and missile electronics, to businessman and property manager, a jack of all trades. JE passed away on August 18, 2003, a memorial service will be held in Oklahoma City at Baggerley Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 21st at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will be held at the Walnut Kansas cemetery on Friday, August 22nd, 2003 at 10:00 AM. A memorial fund in JE's name has been established for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery at Walnut, Kansas.
