Somewhere back of the sunset where loveliness never dies, she lives in a land of glory mid the blue and gold of skies. And we, who have known and loved her, whose passing has brought sad tears, will cherish her memory always, to brighten the passing years. Myrtle C. Hearn entered heavens gates on August 15th, 2003. She was born August 25th, 1909 in Milford, Texas to Julia Gasper and Hiram Carruthers. Myrtle was the fifth born of ten children. She is preceded in death by all but one. She is survived by one sister Beaulagh Mae Winrow of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mable Williams of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Stan and wife, Bernice Williams of Baytown, Texas; three great grandchildren: Latisha Shaw of Oklahoma City, Randolph White of Oklahoma City and Markiea Williams of Oklahoma City; eight great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Myrtle worked many years for the Dunlap family of Edmond, Oklahoma until finally settling in with the Anderson family of Nichols Hills. For over 40 years of dedicated service. She was a loving mother and grandmother and friend to all. She will be missed by many but she will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday August 22nd, 2003 at the New Union Baptist Church, Pastor Kelley Booker officiating under the direction of Temple & Sons Funeral Directors, Inc. Interment is in Earlsboro Cemetery in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.
