All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Arlington Memory Gardens--Midwest City OK Henry Sr., Gillis Paul 1931 - 2005 Gillis Paul Henry Sr., 73, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Fort Worth. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, in Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, Okla. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. "Henry" was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Kaplan, La., to Azetille and John Henry. Raised in a Cajun home, Henry grew up hunting, fishing and trapping. He was an incredible cook, known especially for his Cajun cuisine. He married Marjorie Marcille Bilray-Hair in 1955. Henry was a member of the U.S. Air Force for 24 years. He proudly served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars and was honored to serve as a translator during the Paris Peace Talks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcille; son, Gillis Paul Henry Jr.; his sister, Anabelle Schexnaider; his brothers, John Henry Jr., Chapman Pierce, Oliver Roy, Wilson Roy and Howard Roy. The family would like to thank the staffs of Good Place of North Richland Hills and Autumn Leaves of Grapevine for their loving care and support. Survivors: Brother, Gilton Henry and spouse, Teresa, of Ragley, La.; daughters, Toni Henry of Harrah, Okla., Gale Hair-Sobotka and spouse, Don, of Fort Worth, and Connie Hair-Chandler and spouse, John, of Princeton, La.; daughter-in-law, Myra Henry of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Sandi Richardson, Cindy Hyland, Matthew Henry and Joshua Henry and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
