Hixon, Leon

Funeral services for Leon Hixon, 65, of Oklahoma City, will be held 
at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004 in The Chapel of the 
Resthaven Funeral Home. Leon was born August 4, 1939 in Ft. Cobb, 
Oklahoma the son of Clinton Virgil and Odessa Mae (Toles) Hixon. He 
passed away Monday, November 8, 2004 in Oklahoma City. Leon spent his 
entire life in Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Rita Hutmacher 
on February 14, 1958. Leon and Rita owned and operated Okie 
Foundation Drilling for the past 32 years. When he wasn't working 
Leon enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the lake, and vacationing in 
Colorado. The thing he enjoyed and cherished the most was spending 
time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rita; 
son, Steve Hixon and his wife, Lizzie; daughters, Juli Owens and her 
husband, Richard; Lesha Taylor and her husband, Brett; grandchildren, 
Karli Owens, Baylee Taylor, Jacy Taylor, Zakary Hixon, Breuhn 
Spoonemore and her husband Wes; brother, Fred Hixon; sister, Barbara 
Heger and her husband, Larry; mother-in-law, Allene Hutmacher; 
sister-in-law, Donna Canterbury; brother-in-law, Joe Hutmacher and 
his wife, Carrie; and daughter-in-law, Geanie Hixon and many 
additional friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his 
parents; sister, Bobbie Chambers; brother, Billy Joe Hixon; one 
grandson, Kade Owens and his father-in-law, Leo Hutmacher. RESTHAVEN
