All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Elm Wood Ceemtery--Woodard OK Hudson, Laura Hohweiler Laura Hohweiler Hudson was born July 10, 1915 near Fargo, OK and died April 7, 2003. She was born to Frederick and Eva Hohweiler and attended Fargo schools. There she played basketball and met her future husband Robert Hudson, who was a basketball referee. They married August 13, 1935. Laura was a long time resident of Bethany, OK and a retired dietician from Western Oaks Nursing Home. She was active in the Bethany Senior Citizen's Center and a member of Western Oaks Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, her parents, brother Alfred Hohweiler, sister Leona Peil, and son William Hudson. Survivors include daughter Pala Williams and husband Lonnie, daughter Jolene McPhearson, son Gary Hudson and wife Jerri. all of Oklahoma City, son Don Hudson and wife Vicki of Durant, OK, granddaughters Staci McPhearson of Oklahoma City and Leslie Hudson of Mesquite, TX, brother Alex Hohweiler and wife Irene of Central Point, OR, sisters Katherine File of Eatonton, GA and Stella Apple of Hydro, OK and a host of special nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. G. Bob Fraley and his staff, Rita Swonger, Park Glade Retirement Center and Hospice Center of Edmond all of whom provided her comfort and support when she needed it. Viewing will be at Guardian Funeral Home (West) on Wednesday and services will be Thursday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Western Oaks Christian Church. Interment will follow at Elm Wood Cemetery in Woodward, OK with a graveside service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be made to the Park Glade Retirement Center, 2500 N.
