Jacoby, 93, died peacefully at home Dec. 21, 2002. Ray was born February 20, 1909 near Little Rock Arkansas. He was the oldest son of Rudolph Jewel and Maude Ester Beavers Jacoby. Ray moved to Oklahoma City in 1926. He and Winnie Laura Dalton were united in marriage January 5, 1945, in San Diego, California. Ray was with the 14th Fleet Airwing (USN) during World War II and after discharge in 1946 he started Ray Jacoby Photography doing Commercial and Aerial Photography and was well known throughout the United States for his photography. Ray was a long time member of OX5 Aviations Pioneers, QB's, Navy Alumni Club, Rotary and Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. Ray and Winnie were charter members of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and the Oklahoma Air Space Museum, Ray was inducted into the Oklahoma Air Space Museum in 1994. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and Winnie, his wife of 57 years. Sons, Mike and wife, Jill, Randy and wife, Barbara, daughter, Nancy Burch and husband Jack, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and 1 brother, Paul survive him. Ray's wit, wisdom and kind heart will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank Ray's caregiver, Linda Reynolds, Visiting Angels and Hospice Center, especially Pat Hood. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Oklahoma Air Space Museum, 2100 NE 52, OKC 73111, the Oklahoma Historical Society, 2100 N. Lincoln, OKC, OK 73105 or Hospice Center, 101 E. Hurd, Edmond, OK 73034. Memorial services for Ray Jacoby will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 4:00 P.M. at the Hahn-Cook Chapel.
