Obit for Wallace Jones

Wallace Jones
Wallace "Wally" Jones, 62, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of 
Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Rick Mathis of West Amarillo 
Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born in New Castle, Pa. He was a member of the Odd Fellows 
and Compassionate Friends.

He retired from Marty's Restaurant. He also had been a delivery driver.

He married Marlene White in 1985 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death 
by a son, William "Billy" Jones, in 1988.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lois Robinson of Amarillo and 
Doris Martin of Kelso, Wash.; three stepsons, Larry King and Kent King, both 
of Amarillo, and David King of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Winnie Langkop 
of Florida, Mabel Jackson of Pennsylvania and Bobbie Jean Mower of Idaho; 
his mother, Albertha Jones of New Castle; and nine grandchildren.

The family will be at 3702 Cheyenne. They request memorials be to 
Compassionate Friends, P.O. Box 19131, Amarillo, Texas 79109.
