Obit for Edna Jones

Edna Jones

HEREFORD - Edna Jones, 100, died Friday, July 5, 2002.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home,
Rose Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Ranspot, pastor of Ponderosa Baptist
Church in Carson City, Nev., officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial
Park Cemetery of Hereford.

Mrs. Jones married Wiley W. Jones in 1919 at Poolville. They came to Deaf
Smith County in 1945 from Mineral Wells.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Quillah Ranspot.

Survivors include a daughter, H. Paula Prutsman of Hereford; two sisters,
Goldie Russell of Oklahoma City and Ola Dyer of Las Vegas; six
grandchildren, Oma Lee Lassiter, Pat Vinton and Rita Simons of Hereford,
Hank Ranspot of Amarillo, Mike Ranspot of Carson City and Don Rasberry of
Clarendon; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S.
Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101.
