(Saylors), born January 31, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and went home to her savior on January 22. Orphaned at an early age, Helen grew up in Atoka County. She lived with several aunts, uncles, and cousins resulting in a multitude of loving cousins who treated her as a sister, therefore in later years, Helen accumulated several special nieces and nephews. Helen spent several years practicing cosmetology but devoted the majority of her life creating a loving home for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Opal Saylors and a brother, Loyd Saylors. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Hershel of Harrah, Oklahoma, her daughter, Debbie and husband, Von Kirk of Oklahoma City, OK, her son, Dennis and wife, Tami of Edmond, Oklahoma, her grandchildren, Jacob Arthur and Levi Kirk of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dacia, Derek and Rachel James of Edmond, Oklahoma, and special grandchildren Sarah, Nanette, Christy, and Darren. Sister Modra Johnson of Riverbank, California, brothers, Raymond Saylors of Vancouver, Washington and Luther Saylors of Gastonia, North Carolina. Helen loved her family and friends and knew she was loved in return. Helen loved the Lord and because of health problems was an inactive member of the First Baptist Church of Harrah. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the South Colonial Chapel, Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 S. Western, (405) 634-1439.
