She was born May 5, 1926 in Canon City, CO to Harold J. and Esther Darby. Betty and her 2 small sons married Herbert L. Jones Jr. (Herb) on August 11, 1956 and they have had a wonderful 46 years of life together. Her parents and one grandson, Dustyn preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Herb; two sons, Steve Boswell and Chris Boswell. Also survived by Steve's wife Caryn and Chris's wife Kathy; two grandsons, Steven M. and wife Wendy Boswell of College Station, TX and Kye and his wife Leslee Boswell of Norman; two grand- daughters, Christy Boswell and Willow Boswell; one great granddaughter Darby Boswell; two sisters, Eleanor Bedingfield and Joan Robertson of Dodge City, KS; two nephews, Stan Zurek and Paul Zurek; one niece, Debra Dowell; two sisters-in-law, Mabel McInnes and Norma Jean Jernigan husband Duie of Tulsa and their two children, Diana and husband Randy Feller and their two children, Dan Jernigan and wife Stephanie Jernigan of Atlanta, and their two sons. Betty had many cousins in various parts of the state of Oklahoma and also in the northwest area of the United States. Betty retired from Tinker AF Base in 1977. She loved to travel. She and her husband made many overseas trips and cruises together, and she loved every one of them. She loved her church and her Sunday school classes all at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She will be missed by many: her family, her garden club, her painting club, her neighbors, and the myriad of friends she had made in her many years of living and working in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held 1:00P.M., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 in the Red Chapel of Southern Hills Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
